AFC Group manufactures and supplies high quality Plastic Optical Fibre (POF) assemblies. A range of industrial and communication connectors can be terminated on plastic fibre.

Similar to traditional glass fibre, POF transmits light (or data) through the core of the fibre. However, the core size of POF is up to 100 times larger than glass fibre. Plastic optical fibres are commonly used for low-speed, short distance (up to 100 metres) applications in digital home appliances, home networks, industrial networks and car networks.
