Compact Launch Lead
Complementing our extensive range of OTDR equipment, AFC Group has developed a new launch lead that is compact enough to fit into most OTDR cases.
It is available as a universal triple (TRI) fibre launch lead ideal for contractors who test a range of networks. It also comes as a single fibre single mode (SM) launch lead designed especially for telecommunication network testing.
AFC Group recommends using a launch and far end lead each end of the link in order to comply with new optical link testing standards as specified in ISO/IEC 14763-3:2006. The far end lead plugs into the link under test in order to take the far end connector measurement into account.
